ABOUT US

Loansbetter was founded in 2020 with the question, “Can loans be done better?” Our core belief was that loans can be done better. While pondering that question we decided to study the real estate industry. After all, the real estate and mortgage industries are very similar in certain ways and not so much in others.

What we noticed when we studied the real estate market was that many real estate companies compensate their agents differently. Some pay high splits even up to a 100% commission minus some small fees. Some offer training and lower splits. Some offer more like an MLM way of doing business whereby if you bring in other agents you will get paid an override on their closings.

What was interesting was that when we studied the mortgage industry we noticed it was very different than the real estate industry in terms of compensation. We noticed in mortgages there are basically 2 camps. The broker world or retail. Nothing in between.

We wondered what if we copied the real estate industry and mimicked what they were offering to their realtors but instead of real estate agents we offer that similar structure or compensation to our loan officers ?

And that’s how Loansbetter was created.
